Brown Pigeon
May 04, 2006 12:45 AM PDT
Brown pigeon circling line after line, spooked into flight by unseen needs, not like the others - you chase the same dreams with unequal opportunity, clawed in flight, pecked on deck you wait patience out for a better rhyme, a better reason for your efforts to be gray-like or is it survival only in your gray pigeon world? Rooster-crow nightmares - bound and disabled from flights of fancy alone or worse yet, among friends. You slip away conciousness to gentle coos - a mother's warm breast - and sustained, you climb again. |
